3M Cogent a leading high-tech development company in the fields of image processing, biometrics, automated fingerprint identification and systems integration is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator in Stennis Space Center, MS. We are seeking someone who is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Working under general supervision and reporting to a project leader or manager. Has a certain degree of creativity and latitude.

3M Cogent supports a worldwide customer base which includes law enforcement, civil government, and commercial customers.

The position of Sr. Systems Administrator located in Stennis Space Center, MS will be responsible for but not limited to the following specific duties:

* Installs new software releases
* System upgrades
* Evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems
* Performs system backups and recovery
* Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

* High School Diploma
* 3 years of experience with AIX/ HPUX operating systems

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
* Linux experience
* Able and willing to travel for system installation and customer support
