This is a corporate wide opportunity. Candidates must be flexible and open to relocation to one of our USA based locations.

An Operations Manager at Albemarle is responsible for the following activities:
- Ensure that production facilities are designed for safe operation and that safe operating procedures are followed
- Ensure that production facilities operate within environmental guidelines
- Ensure that quality procedures are implemented and followed
- Monitor and control production costs
- Build and develop a technically competent and motivated manufacturing organization
- Drive a safety program toward no incidents or injuries
- Ensure environmental performance meets standards and permits
- Drive a continuous improvement quality program with steadily improving customer recognition
- Achieve the annual cost budget while identifying ways to reduce cost year over year
- Develop, implement, and manage an incident investigation program for safety, environment, quality, and cost related incidents

Requirements
Qualifications
- 10 years experience in chemical or petrochemical manufacturing production facility
- 5 years supervisory responsibility in chemical or petrochemical manufacturing

Experience desired but not required:
- Process design or project management experience in chemical industry
- Safety and/or environmental responsibility in chemical industry
- Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodology

*This position will be based in Baton Rouge but the individual will eventually take on an assignment at one of our other plants. Ideal candidate will be open to relocation and travel.

Requirements Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Chemical Engineering
