Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a Traffic Engineer in New Orleans. Job responsibilities include:

• Monitors and documents conformance with quality, performance, safety and code requirements.
• Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and engineering installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining project documentation.
• General understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.

Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma + 4 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education


Preferred Qualifications

Must Have Skills/Experience (Including any required Certifications):

BS degree in Civil Engineering, 8+ years of experience, Traffic capacity analysis,

Corridor Studies,

NEPA Traffic analyses for highway projects,

Traffic Impact Studies,

Operational simulation analysis,

Traffic Signal Design,

Timing Plans,

Geometric design and construction documents,

Studies using Synchro, HCS, and the PTV Suite of products,

AutoCAD,

PE and PTOE (Preferred)

Preferred Skills/Experience:

Bike and pedestrian studies and design,

Roundabout studies using Sidra,

Familiarity with federal and LA DOTD requirements,

Public speaking,

Task and Project Management,

Interchange justification/modification reports,

Traffic analysis and modeling for highway projects
