Academic Data Analyst

The Data Analyst will be privy to confidential information and will participate in decisions related to the development and implementation of Achievement policies, plans and initiatives This position will have the following primary areas of focus:
1. Management of data within student information systems
2. Analytics and Management related teacher development and evaluation system
3. Co-Management related to district benchmarking, LinkIt and other formative and summative assessments
4. Progress tracking of school and district-wide achievement goals Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as data manager for the Academics team
Identify solutions to improve achievement data collection, analysis, and management
Design data dashboards and other school performance monitoring systems
Inform the use of assessments using data from Algiers Charter internal databases and other sources
Support schools’ and network teams’ use of the Pathways Portal
o Designs and offers training to schools and network teams
o Generates reports
o Monitors and increases use among administrators and teachers
o Generates and assembles Mid-Year and Final Evaluation reports and related materials
o Manages the pathways account
Develop reports and presentations for a variety of internal and external audiences
Serve as an expert in responding to Academic data related inquiries from principals, network teams, or other RSD staff.

Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in a related field e.g. education, assessment).
Minimum of two years of experience working in complex data analysis.
o This experience preferably involves responsibility for managing strategic analysis of data for development of assessment techniques and educational best practices, and implementation of a variety of assessments, while communicating with a variety of stakeholders.
Quantitative and data analysis and computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office suite, must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
Excellent project management, planning, and implementation skills
Excellent communication and writing skills, with a critical eye for detail
Outstanding critical thinking skills
The ability to learn quickly and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
The ability to critically assess challenges and identify effective solutions
A record of setting and achieving ambitious goals
The ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously including the ability to adhere to strict deadlines

Requires flexibility and ability to work in a team environment.
Requires some nights and weekends.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite; especially Access
Experience working with in the education sector and/or non-profit organization
