Roles & Responsibilities:

The ORAssistant / Video Technician has three main areas of responsibilities:

1.  Clerical or Unit Secretary duties
2.  Direct patient care

3.  Assisting the nursing staff with patientduties                            

Assignedspecific responsibilities by the Clinical Manager or Charge Nurse on duty.  May be assigned to one specific task or mayrotate assignments during their shift. Renders care to patients as outlined in this position descriptionrelevant to population specific needs, attends to basic and advanced nursingcare, and maintains a safe and clean environment.  Supervises no one.



  • Completion of CNA, EMT, or Medical Technician Course, orcompletion of years of RN/LPN programs
  • Six months experience preferred
  • Completion of Patient Care Technician Course or equivalent
  • Current Basic Life Support

Required Licenses/Certifications:

  • BLSthrough the American Heart Association
  • CNA,EMT or Medical Tech
