Entry Level Application Mainframe (zOS) Developer

Your Role and Responsibilities
 
We are actively recruiting for Mainframe zOS developers at our Baton Rouge Client Innovation Center!

The Mainframe zOS Developer will perform the following duties and responsibilities:
  • Mainframe zOS / COBOL / CICS / VSAM / JCL duties
  • Receive Knowledge Transfer from incumbents
  • Handle L2/L3 Tickets, batch job restarts & operational troubleshooting
  • Perform day-to-day operational monitoring
  • Perform Minor/Major Enhancements
  • Work with the BA team to understand requirements
  • Help determine Testing requirements for Break/Fix, Minor and Major Enhancements work
  • Help define use cases for the Automation Team to reduce manual effort
  • Contribute to Test Case development and ultimately automation of the regression suite
Note:  the above list is not all inclusive - other duties as assigned by manager when appropriate.
 
The IBM Client Innovation Center is an in-bound delivery model where we support our clients from our East Lansing center. However, some travel is expected and all candidates must be willing and able to travel to meet our client needs across the US. Travel is typically related to knowledge transfer and training at the client site (Monday thru Friday). You are expected to travel approximately 50% of the time.  This is a traditional office position.  You must live in, or be willing to relocate to, LOUISIANA. The work location is 100 North St, Baton Rouge, LA 70802. This is not a work from home position.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
