Position Summary
Control Systems Engineer, Level 1
Worley Metairie, LA
Researches, develops and designs systems for industrial control system purposes. Needs comprehensive understanding of principles, theories, concepts, and industry practices and standards and their application. Responsible for performing all aspects of engineering and design. Works under lead control systems supervision. Work is reviewed for adequacy on completion.
  • Support P&ID development; help maintain the P&ID's through the course of each project phase
  • Support development of the Instrument Index and I/0 List; help maintain the Instrument Index and I/0 List through the course of each project phase
  • Support incorporation of control systems content into mechanical equipment vendor packages
  • Prepare engineering calculations, specifications and requisition packages for inquiry and purchase
  • Prepare technical bid evaluations and make recommendations for purchase
  • Review vendor data to assure specifications and project requirements are met

    • Recognized Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in engineering or technical field from an accredited college or University required
    • 1 years' of experience designing offshore production facilities required
    • Experience with controls and instrumentation abilities required
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
    • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) required
