- Purpose of Announcement
EXAMINATION IS ANNOUNCED TO ESTABLISH AN EMPLOYMENT LIST TO FILL ONE (1) CURRENT EAST JEFFERSON VACANCY IN THE DEPARTMENT OF JEFFERSON COMMUNITY ACTION PROGRAM AND FOR FUTURE VACANCIES AS THEY OCCUR.

Under administrative direction of the Assistant Director of JeffCAP, is responsible for administrative and supervisory work of considerable difficulty in the provision and coordination of the federal and state funded Community Action Program – Liheap, including the review of the daily intake of applications at the JEFFCAP Community Centers, contact with residents, monitoring, vendors and the LACAP and LHFA offices in Baton Rouge. Preparation and maintenance of all required activities and contracts of this program. This position will effectively track all funds received by the agency and process all accounts payable and receivable. The Administrative Management Specialist III will also ensue fiscal integrity and compliance with Office of Management and Budget (OMB) circulars through the implementation of sound internal controls and adherence with fiscal policies and procedures. Performs related work as required. Position requires driving of a personal vehicle, thus possession of a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and personal automobile with minimum liability insurance available for business use (business travel is reimbursed on a mileage basis) will be given preference.
- Minimum Qualifications For Admission to Examination
Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; PLUS, at least two (2) years of full-time, paid work experience in a community services setting (such as a community center, school, non-profit, or similar). Work experience must include responsibility for budget planning and representing the department/agency to outside contacts.

(ENTRANCE AND PROMOTIONAL)
The examination may consist of a written test, a rating of training and experience, an oral panel interview or any combination thereof. Acceptable applicants will be notified of the time, date, and place of any assembled testing. Applicants must supply complete and accurate information concerning their training and experience including a detailed description of their work experience, the names and addresses of all previous employers and the dates of employment. The information is subject to verification and the Personnel Department reserves the right to determine the quality and quantity of education and experience claimed for credit.
