Customer Service Representatives
at Kinder Morgan.
The basic function of this position is to provide customer service for Kinder Morgan's customers, which includes but is not limited to: order processing, scheduling, bill of lading preparation, management of inventory levels. The incumbent interfaces extensively with terminal operations personnel, co-workers, customers, and regulatory personnel as required.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
-Interact with all customers which include maintaining all customer paperwork.-Provide general and account information in regards to customer inquiries.
-Interact with customers and surveyors, regarding orders and product movements.-Work with operations, co-workers, scheduling, measurement, inspectors, UP Railroad and customers to reconcile custody transfer volumes. Utilizes knowledge of inventory system in responding to report request and inquires.
-Accurately update/maintain the Galahad system. Input and confirm inbound/outbound movements, identify variances (gains and losses), run reports, enter gauges, generate plant operating orders.-Complete month-end-close to provide timely information to accounting for billing, and to customer for their month-end-close.
-Respond to requests for product throughput analysis from various departments and customers.-Review daily customer truck rack activity data and distribute customer reports daily. Calculate daily customer inventories, responds to customer inquiries and requests.
-Generate bills-of-lading for truck activity.-Distribute daily truck rack BOLs to operations.
-Distribute daily truck rack weight tickets to customer.-Prepare rail road switch list.
-Provide general office duties; such as typing, filing, faxing, mail sorting.-Ensure that all reports, records, and documentation is kept orderly and current.
-Strict adherence to security regulations and procedures as stated in the terminal's Facility Security Plan.-Perform job in accordance with company policies and procedures.
-Attend daily Safety, Quality, and Environmental (SQE) meetings and work in accordance to our SQE culture.-Other duties as assigned.
-High school diploma or equivalency. Some college or a college degree is preferred.
Experience and specific knowledge:-Intermediate computer skill; with above average skills in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
-Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, and fractions).-Knowledge of GALAHAD is desirable.
-Interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communications skills are required.
Certification, licenses, and registrations:-Ability to obtain TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) as offer by the TSA (Transportation Security Administration).

-Customer-oriented and able to work in a team environment-Must consistently demonstrate a courteous, professional attitude when handling customer inquiries, as well as interacting with co-workers.
-Ability to handle non-routine customer requests, problems and decision-making.-Must be able to take directions from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details, adhere to operational procedures and follow work rules.
-Must be self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision and/or direction.-Successful completion of background screen and drug test upon job offer.
-Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.-While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
-The employee must meet physical requirements including but not limited to, walking, kneeling, crouching, climbing up/down ladders and stairs, negotiating uneven and moving surfaces, and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds.-Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
-Office environment.-Must be willing to work overtime, as required.
-Must be willing to respond to callouts as needed.
Preferred education, experience, certifications, competencies, skills, and abilities:-Experience and knowledge in the Bulk Liquid Terminal industry is preferred.
-Basic scheduling functions are desired.

Natural Gas Pipelines
With approximately 70,000 miles of pipelines, we are the largest natural gas transporter and storage operator in the United States. Our pipelines are connected to every important natural gas resource play, including the Eagle Ford, Marcellus, Utica, Uinta, Haynesville, Fayetteville, Barnett, Mississippi Lime and Woodford, that will play a significant role in meeting the nation’s long term natural gas supply. We serve the major consuming markets of the entire United States. Key assets include premier interstate pipelines that stretch from coast to coast and a huge intrastate pipeline system in Texas, the state which is the largest producer and consumer of natural gas in the United States.
We are the leading transporter and marketer of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the United States. We deliver approximately 1.3 billion cubic feet per day of CO2 through about 1,300 miles of pipelines. We also produce more than 50,000 barrels of oil per day. Key assets include CO2 source fields in southwestern Colorado, pipelines that transport CO2 from Colorado to New Mexico and Texas, and oil production fields in the Permian Basin of West Texas.
We transport about more than 2 Million barrels daily of gasoline, jet fuel, diesel, natural gas liquids and biofuels through more than 8,000 miles of pipelines. Key assets include refined petroleum pipelines and terminal storage and blending systems that serve California, Florida and other states in the western and southeastern United States. We also transport crude and condensate from the Eagle Ford shale to the Houston Ship Channel. Specific to renewable fuels, our Products and Terminals business segments combined handle about 30 percent of all of the ethanol used in the United States.
We operate approximately 180 terminals that have a combined liquids storage capacity of more than 110 million barrels for refined petroleum products, crude oil, chemicals and biofuels. We also handle over 105 million tons per year of dry bulk materials such as coal, petroleum coke and steel. Key assets include large liquids terminals on the Houston Ship Channel and in New York Harbor, Los Angeles Harbor and Edmonton, Alberta, as well as strategically located coal terminals in the Southeast and along the Gulf Coast.
Kinder Morgan Canada
Our Trans Mountain pipeline system originates in Edmonton, Alberta, and is the only oil sands pipeline that transports crude oil and refined petroleum to Vancouver, British Columbia, and Washington State. We have proposed and are pursuing a major expansion of Trans Mountain.
