MECHANICAL RELIABILITY ENGINEER

New Orleans, LA

Job Summary:

In this Reliability Engineering role, you will provide process and equipment troubleshooting and optimization. You will also participate in and/or lead incident investigations, utilizing root cause failure analysis (RFCA) techniques and Risk Based Assessment Management skills as necessary. You will assist in design, revision and maintenance of the plant mechanical integrity program. As called upon, you will need to scope, design and manage multiple small to mid-size capital projects to improve plant reliability, environmental regulatory compliance, safety performance, and cost competitiveness. You will serve as an integral and key member of the site maintenance team and assist in structuring the annual capital project budget. As a leader, you will be asked to train and mentor operators and technicians on both new and existing processes, equipment, and procedures.

Requirements:

  • S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 7-10+ years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity and experience with ASME and API codes and regulations
  • Reliability experience, preferably working with rotating equipment
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and technical principles
  • Ability to communicate with others in a respectful manner as a team leader
  • Excellent leadership, planning, and communication skills
