P&D SUPERVISOR

Plans, directs, and controls the Pick up and Delivery (P&D) operations in the terminal areas to provide customers with the best possible service in the most efficient and economical manner while meeting all Company standards and requirements. Provides training to P&D Drivers at regular intervals to ensure Company requirements and customer expectations are met. Ensures continuous measurable improvement in all processes and promotes a safe and healthy work environment while keeping driver morale at a high level.

What you’ll do on a typical day

• Develop and organize productive and efficient routes to meet the needs of customers. Determine order in which freight is moved, makes tractor assignments, sets delivery schedules, and works with customers to resolve delivery and pick up problems. Determine number of drivers needed to deliver available freight
• Evaluate P&D service to and from customers to ensure excellent delivery service and on-time pick ups
• Train and develop P&D Drivers to ensure efficient operations according to Company standards and customer expectations
• Serves as a role model by consistently practicing strong loss prevention techniques and conducts loss prevention and safety meetings at regular intervals

Here are the key things you will need to have

• A High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's Degree, Associate's Degree, or equivalent Business experience is preferred
• At least 2 years of Less Than Truckload (LTL) freight and/or business leadership experience or completion of Company Management Training Program
