Doctorate or ABD (by June 30, 2018 with expected completion within three years) in
Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, or a related field. Applicants shall have three or more years of relevant experience (in industry or higher
education) in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, or a related field; have college- or university-level teaching experience in field of study; be
effective in teaching the assigned subject material; meet the required standards defined by the University; be proficient in curriculum development, instruction, evaluation and
academic counseling; and have familiarity and understanding of AACSBI requirements and SACSCOC requirements.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work at Northwestern State University.
- Job Concepts
Will be the first-line administrator of the School of Business unit (consisting of the BS in Accounting, BS in Business Administration, BS in Computer Information Systems, and BS in Hospitality Management and Tourism). Responsible for all issues related to the School of Business, such as curriculum, budget, personnel, class schedules, and students' rights and responsibilities. The director must actively recruit and mentor School of Business majors, serve on faculty committees, and perform other duties as assigned. Supervise professional full-time faculty and staff within the School of Business.
