The Division of Administration/Office of Technology Services has a vacancy. 
This vacancy will be filled by new hire or by promotion of a current permanent status classified employee.  There is no Civil Service written test requirement. 
As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as an Information Technology Equipment Operator 1 (TS-302), an Information Technology Equipment Operator 2 (TS-303), or an Information Technology Equipment Operator 3 (TS-305). The maximum salary for the Information Technology Equipment Operator 3 is $48,568 annually. Please refer to the "Job Specifications" tab located at the top of the LA Careers "Current Job Opportunities" page for specific information on salary ranges, minimum qualification requirements and job concepts for each level.

The Office of Technology Services will work to increase the return on the State's investment in technology by promoting smart decision-making, solving problems intelligently, increasing the rate of project success, and fostering a skilled and professional staff.

15% Incumbent must be able to demonstrate mastery of operating, performing preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques on the mail sorting machine, digital mailing system, and all mail insert machines.

15% Incumbent must be able to demonstrate mastery of operating, performing preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques when processing all mainframe/server generated printing, using all production printing systems, within OTS High Capacity Printing. The output must also be distributed through the established distribution processes.

15% Incumbent must be able to demonstrate mastery when operating and monitoring the daily mainframe/
server production systems for all state agencies. This includes batch processing, monitoring
online systems, databases, and print queue output.

15% Assists operators in resolving problems or answering questions about proper equipment operations and procedures. Assists supervisor with documentation, shift reports, identifies abends and equipment malfunctions.

15% May function as lead worker over lower level operators as needed. May assume additional
Supervisory duties in the absence of the supervisor.

15% Incumbent must be able to coordinate pickup and delivery of bulk mail and bulk mail supplies, with
the USPS bulk mailing facility. Process and prepare mail and packages for UPS, Fed Ex, & USPS

5% Performs all other tasks, special projects, analysis, studies, and plans as directed.

5% Participate in professional development opportunities to improve skills and technical knowledge.
