Job Summary:

Manufacturing Engineer Intern will assist other manufacturing engineers in completing tasks with a basic degree of complexity and limited latitude for independent action and decision.   Perform assignments designed to develop professional engineering work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks.



Work is assigned by others and performed under close supervision.

Follows specific, established procedures.

Contributes to the completion of specific technical tasks and/or milestones associated with specific projects.

Failure to achieve results can normally be overcome without serious effects on schedules and programs, but may cause minimal delays and may result in the allocation of additional resources.

Problems are usually of a routine nature, but may be varied and related to multiple issues.  Those that are not within established guidelines are generally referred to others.

Contacts are primarily within division (i.e. immediate supervisor, project leaders, and other professionals in the section or division).

Generally requires exchanging and providing information.

May require discussion/explanation of somewhat complex information.

This position may be responsible for providing guidance to technicians.

This position does not directly provide leadership or supervision to other employees.


Must be an undergraduate or graduate full-time student pursuing a degree in an engineering program

GPA of 3.2 or higher


Position Requirements:

Possess effective written and oral communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Ability to apply logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Experience with SolidWorks, UG/NX or other 3D modeling programs are desired.
